Pickup Truck Falls From New Orleans Parking Garage

One person is dead after a pickup truck fell from a parking garage Wednesday in the CBD, police said. According to the New Orleans Police Department, the incident happened around 7 a.m. at the Poydras Center Office Building near Camp and Poydras streets. While few details have been made available, the NOPD confirmed that the truck was on the fifth level when it crashed through a steel cable barrier. The crash sent the truck through the glass window and down to the ground. The 49-year-old male driver was pronounced dead, according to the NOPD.
