Three people were killed Saturday in a four-vehicle crash on Taconic State Parkway that sent eight other people to area hospitals, New York State Police said. The accident happened at about 3:10 p.m. when a northbound sport utility vehicle went airborne after striking an embankment in the center median and collided with two southbound cars, investigators said. A third southbound vehicle then crashed into the others. The names of the three people who died in the crash were not disclosed by investigators.
