Indy Driver In Coma After Being Struck By Debris

Justin Wilson was airlifted out of Pocono Raceway after he was hit by a large piece of debris during Sunday’s IndyCar race.
When Sage Karam spun into the wall, a piece of his car struck Wilson in the head. Wilson’s car veered left and directly into an interior wall. Wilson was swarmed by the safety crew and airlifted by helicopter from the track.Wilson is in a coma in critical condition while undergoing further evaluation, according to a statement released by INDYCAR. "It’s just a tough one right now," said Michael Andretti, car owner for both Wilson and race winner Ryan Hunter-Reay.
