Several people were injured early Friday morning when a box truck slammed into the back of a Metro bus in south Houston.
The bus was stopped at a marked bus stop on Almeda near Holly Hall about 5:30 a.m. and passengers were boarding when the truck rear-ended it, Metro officials said. Nine people, including the driver, were hurt, officials said. Seven were taken to nearby hospitals. Their conditions were not released, but officials said their injuries were not life-threatening. Officials said the back of the bus was heavily damaged in the collision.
