Charleston Police Rescue Driver From Burning Car After Crash

Two Charleston police officers pulled a woman from a burning car Sunday night following a two-car accident. The crash happened shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday at Maybank Highway and Riverland Drive, according to Charleston Police spokesman Charles Francis. Officers Jason DuFault and Michael Galka arrived at the scene, saw that one of the vehicles was on fire and realized the driver was belted in and unable to get out, Francis said.
