A crash caused by a suspected drunken driver led to his passenger being impaled by a fence post. On Wednesday at around 1:30 a.m., 34-year-old Ryan Matson of Cornville was arrested for failure to remain at an accident scene, DUI, endangerment, and criminal damage following a single vehicle crash. The Yavapai County Sheriffs Office believes that earlier, Matson crashed his BMW convertible sedan, then fled the scene. Matsons passenger remained in the vehicle, injured. Officials say there was a 1-inch pipe impaled through his chest.
