DUI Driver Plows Into Las Vegas Home

Las Vegas Metro police reported a driver who drove a van into an east Valley house Wednesday morning is facing a DUI charge. The crash happened about 7:02 a.m. at a house located on Parkhurst Street, near Washington Avenue and Pecos Road. There were no injuries reported, but damage to the home was substantial. The driver, police said, was medically cleared at University Medical Center and booked into Las Vegas City Jail. A neighbor told FOX5 the driver is a 19-year-old woman, but police have not identified the suspect. Linda Cole was driving to work when the van sped past her. “She was going about 85 mph, and I was going 25,” she said.
