Small Aircraft Collide Over West Georgia Runway

Channel 2 Action News has confirmed three people are dead after two planes crashed in Carroll County on Wednesday.
The crash happened near West Georgia Regional Airport on Regional Road, according to Carroll County Fire PIO Bud Benefield. Bennefield tells Channel 2 Action News that it appears that the two planes collided in mid-air. The crash happened at the end of runway at the airport. Witnesses said both planes appeared to be in a landing pattern. Debris was seen confined to just the crash scene.
