Three Fremont residents suffered major injuries when the driver of a car passed out and the car crashed Saturday morning in San Jose, California Highway Patrol officials said. The crash occurred at 10:45 a.m. at state Highway 237 and Zanker Road. A man, his wife and son were in a 2016 Tesla on Highway 237 when the man started passing out as he was driving and lost control of the car, CHP officials said. The son was in the back seat and reached over and grabbed the steering wheel. But his father’s foot stayed on the gas.
