Two people have died after a car careened out of control and plunged into the Kalamazoo River in Battle Creek.
Battle Creek Police Chief Jim Blocker tells Newschannel 3 that the accident which killed two people Friday morning is troubling because it happened at the very same spot two other crashes happened less than six months ago. Chief Blocker says it was a familiar scene when he arrived at the site of a single-vehicle crash near Capital Avenue and Dickman Road early Friday morning. “It’s like, I can’t believe it is the same spot,” said Chief Blocker. “We have gone from three to literally none in the last twenty years, so it is surprising.”
