Tropical System Has 90 Percent Chance Of Developing In Eastern Atlantic

A weather system off Africa that’s being monitored by the National Hurricane Center is likely to develop as it approaches the eastern Atlantic Ocean, forecasters said Tuesday.

The area of showers and thunderstorms is still more than 2,000 miles from Florida and is being given a 70 percent chance of developing into a tropical cyclone during the next two days and a 90 percent chance of developing during the next five days.
