Skunk’s Death Under Home Leaves Malodors, Insurance Denies Claim

Five weeks later, Tiffany Harris says her Littleton home still smells like skunk. "I’ll never forget it. It was 6 a.m. on a Sunday morning and I woke up because my sheets suddenly smelled like skunk," she said. "You can’t get it out of anything." The odor has forced Harris, her husband, two sons, and a golden retriever to move out. Harris said it took weeks to uncover the culprit that no odor eater could mask. "Once we got it finally pulled out it was dead for four and-a-half weeks underneath my house up against the foundation," Harris said.
