Driver Dead After Tesla Model S Crash In Castro Valley, California

At least one person is dead after a Tesla Model S was found in a pond at a property in unincorporated Alameda County on Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP said the roadway is closed as emergency crews investigate how the vehicle ended up in the pond. The CHP said the reporting party didn’t know when or how the vehicle got there. As of midnight today, emergency crews - including the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office dive team, California Highway Patrol units, fire crews and paramedics - were still at the scene at 11567 Crow Canyon Road, according to Alameda County fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles.
