Eighteen separate crashes involving 45 cars caused a massive pileup on Interstate 10 Tuesday evening. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident began just before 5:30 p.m. between mile markers 200 and 199 on I-10 westbound in Leon County. That action interfered with a second semi-truck, causing it to jack-knife and block all lanes of traffic. FHP says the blockage led to at least 18 other crashes involving 45 vehicles.
