About 50 cars could be trapped for days in a Quincy parking garage after a dump truck partially fell through an upper level.
The incident happened Wednesday at a garage at Furnace Brook Parkway and Copeland Street, Quincy police said. The truck was loaded with gravel.
"Were not exactly sure why the dump truck was in the parking lot, but the dump truck, obviously, went through the load bearing capacity of the parking structure. (It) wasnt enough to handle his load," said Quincy Fire Department Deputy Chief Ed Fenby.
The building owner told WCVB that the driver got lost and tried to make a U-turn before the incident and the weight of the truck caused the collapse.
