Alabama man needs place to stay... robs bank... waits for police

Rickie Lawrence Gardner, 49, of Moulton is in police custody after he robbed at Bank Independent located on Court Street in Moulton on Monday, July 8. Police apprehended Gardner just after 9 a.m. in the bank’s parking lot following the robbery. Gardner waited on police to arrive after putting the money into his vehicle and walking back to a bench in front of the bank. A call from the bank to Moulton Police Department sent officers en route to the bank where the suspect was waiting.
