Car Flips Off Overpass, Gets Hit By Train
Monday, August 10th, 2015 Auto LiabilityA man survived after being hit by a train while inside his car in St. Louis County. The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. on the southbound 270 ramp going to westbound 370. Police say the car somehow flipped off the ramp and landed on the train tracks below. The train operator was able to slow down a little bit before smashing into the car, reducing the impact. The driver was not ejected from the vehicle, but was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. It is still unclear how the driver flipped over the ramp. The investigation is ongoing.
