Car Wrecks Into Apartment Building, Killing Sleeping Veteran

A man was killed Saturday night when a car crashed into a Kent apartment building in the 10800 block of southeast 240th Place. Kent police say two people were in the car when it went through the home fatally striking a man who was asleep in his bed. The driver and the passenger were not injured. The exact cause of the crash is under investigation. Authorities say they do not believe drugs or alcohol played a part. Q13’s Annie Andrews spoke with the victim’s daughter who was home at the time of the crash. She said her father was a war veteran who was a devout Mormon.
