Meanwhile, the developer of a new multifunctional satellite system for vehicles that would include crash notification told National Underwriter the firm is investigating partnering with insurance companies. Insurance links to smart machines were discussed both by William H. Bolinder, a member of the executive board of Zurich Financial Services in Zurich, Switzerland, as well as other speakers at a recent PricewaterhouseCoopers press briefing during a conference in New York sponsored by the consulting firm.
