Case Over Alaska Mountain Death Settled

Wednesday, November 27th, 2013 Liability Litigation

An attorney says a settlement has been reached over a Swiss man’s death on Alaska’s Mount McKinley in 2011. Court records show attorneys for both sides asked a federal judge on Friday to dismiss the case brought against guide company Mountain Trip International, LLC, by the estate of Beat Niederer. It asks that each side bear its own costs and attorneys’ fees.Plaintiff’s attorney Jeffrey Rubin would only say the matter “settled upon mutually agreed terms.”
