Monday, November 6th, 2000 TechnologyEvolving technology will enable insurers’ claims departments to make better, quicker decisions, provide improved customer care, and cut claims cycle time, an expert in the field told a claims industry conference here. Matthew Rice, insurance industry product manager for the Westerville, Ohio, software developer Alta Analytics, provided this vision of things to come during a panel at the Annual Claims Exposition and Conference presented by Claims magazine and The National Underwriter Company. Appearing on the same panel, Marcus Shipley, chief technology officer for the online service provider Claimsdesk.com in Seattle, said that emerging technology would allow adjusters to put more focus on claims.
