Driver gets stuck in newly-poured concrete

Traffic jams are nothing unusual during the morning rush, but one logjam Tuesday morning in the Upper Kirby area wasn’t your typical traffic tie-up. A driver who was trying to make a U-turn on Kirby near the Southwest Freeway apparently didn’t notice newly-poured concrete and drove right into it. Crews in the area had been widening the road and laid new concrete over sewer lines.
