As a result of this affordability, many households and small businesses now have many times the computer processing power of that which landed men on the moon. With DVDs, HDTV, and Playstation l & ll, the list is endless when it comes to today’s technology, and it is not uncommon to have the electronic content exceed the value of the dwelling itself. In addition to all of this hardware, there are intangible items such as stored data, which in some cases can be considered even more valuable than both the dwelling and its contents. These electronic contents have presented a challenge to the insurance industry during claim mitigation.
