Flooded regions brace for more
Friday, March 21st, 2008 Catastrophe PropertyDeadly floods that have inundated a dozen states and caused record crests are a preview of what’s to come this spring, the National Weather Service warns. In its annual spring outlook released Thursday, the weather service says states where the Mississippi, Ohio and Missouri rivers run are at an above-average risk for flooding. Pennsylvania, New York, New England and parts of the West, including Colorado and Idaho, will have a high risk, too, because they have had record rain and snowfall.
