Having a stolen GPS unit in his backpack didn’t stop a Florida man from calling 911 because he was lost and being chased by wild pigs. Andrew Joffe called 911 in Polk County to report that wild boars were chasing him around 1:50 a.m. Thursday and he was found walking several miles west of U.S. Highway 27. Police discovered that Joffe had an open warrant for driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license and he was brought into custody.
When deputies searched Joffe’s backpack, they found a stolen GPS device that the 24-year-old admitted to stealing from a vehicle, WKMG reported. Police also found other electronics, cellphones and earrings.
