Garbage Truck Kills 5-Year-Old Riding Bike
Monday, June 9th, 2014 LiabilityA five-year-old boy is dead after a garbage truck ran him over in Tooele. Police say this appears to simply be a tragic accident. It happened at the corner of 680 West and McKellar Street. Tooele Police Captain Paul Wimmer says Giacomo Riley Kelly, 5, and his sister were riding bikes together Friday around 1:00 p.m. He said the two were following a garbage truck as it made its way through the neighborhood. "They are somewhat familiar with the garbage truck driver," said Wimmer. "They have a rapport with him and they wave to one another." But as they came to a corner, something went wrong.
