Heavy rains adding to woes from severe weather outbreaks

April 2011 may be most remembered for its killer tornadoes and severe weather outbreaks, but extremely heavy rain and resulting floods also have wreaked havoc across a large swath of the USA. The impact has been widespread, not just from damaged property, but also delayed plantings by farmers and disruptions to the rhythms of life for families and kids who are scheduled with lots of youth sports games in spring.
