Lawsuit filed over photos of accident victim
Wednesday, September 4th, 2013 Liability LitigationA family is suing an Emergency Medical Technician and an Ambulance Company, claiming the EMT took photos of their sons dead body at a traffic accident. 30-year-old Jonathan Thomas died after the UPS truck he was driving swerved off the road and into a home in Crawley last summer. Thomas family alleges that while on duty at the scene, EMT Angel Willis Took photos of Jonathans corpse with a personal cell phone, and spread them around the community. His mother, Darla Thomas, tells WVVA they are suing Quinwood Emergency Ambulance Incorporated as well as Willis. I dont know why she would have done that...," said Darla. "I want the law to be changed. As of right now we dont have a state law in West Virginia prohibiting photos being taken by someone such as her."
