The city of Lubbock has agreed to pay $80,000 in a settlement with a woman injured when she stepped into a hole on her way out of a Texas Tech football game. The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reported that the Lubbock City Council approved the settlement last week for Eva Montez. Montez sued the city after she was hurt in Nov. 2010 leaving a Texas Tech game.
