Man in wheelchair hit in traffic; bystanders lift vehicle
Friday, December 9th, 2011 LiabilityBystanders lifted a car from a man on a wheelchair who was hit and run over Thursday morning. According to emergency officials and witnesses, the man was trying to cross near Redwood Road on a motorized wheelchair at 1000 North when he was hit and trapped under the car. Salt Lake City Police tell ABC 4 News the driver was turning with the light before she hit the man. She is a 53-year-old woman and there were two other people inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.
