Man invades Florida home, attempts stealing underwear

Fast asleep overnight Saturday, a Golden Gate family was jolted awake. "We heard a big boom sound. My husband got up, ran to my kids’ room," said mother Janet Gonzalez. Gonzalez said the family grabbed baseball bats and ran downstairs to investigate. "I can’t believe this is happening to us," Gonzalez said of the incident. She said someone broke through their screened lanai, and Monday you could still see the damage done to the sliding glass door. Gonzalez said she noticed a bicycle outside with some of their belongings nearby.
