Nine State Agent Groups Join Call For Federal Re Plan

The Professional Insurance Agents Alliance, comprised of the PIA state associations of Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania, said they have joined in agreement with the Alexandria, Va.-based National Association of Professional Insurance Agents in calling for legislation for a federal terrorism reinsurance plan. "It's crucial that our representatives in Congress understand that an already bad situation will get much worse unless the federal government takes immediate steps to stabilize the insurance marketplace," said Kenneth Bessette, executive director of the PIA associations of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and New Hampshire.
