Ohio Prosecutor Who Used Technology In Arson Cases Honored by Coalition Against Insurance Fraud

Unique uses of technology as evidence, which is a growing part of court cases, has earned a local prosecutor national recognition for convictions in two notable area cases. The Coalition Against Insurance Fraud honored Butler County Prosecutor Mike Gmoser with the award of distinction for the successful prosecution of Lester Parker and William Tucker for Hamilton firefighter Patrick Wolterman’s murder and arson. The Coalition noted what Gmoser pointed out to be a “silver bullet” during final closing arguments — a 27-second call placed from a phone registered to Tucker’s Kentucky girlfriend to Parker’s house on Dec. 27, 2015.
