One Dead, Another Injured In Crash Involving Two Tractor-Trailers

One person was killed and another seriously injured in a crash involving two tractor-trailers Wednesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Calvin Bryant, 50, was traveling westbound on Interstate 4 in Volusia County when he pulled off near mile marker 106 about 1 p.m. for mechanical problems, highway patrol Sgt. Kim Montes said. He had emergency flashers on, troopers said. As he looked under the hood, another tractor-trailer that was hauling slabs of marble moved across several lanes and slammed into the back of his vehicle, Montes said.
