One killed in fiery crash on I-4 in DeLand

A crash involving three vehicles, including a semi truck, led to a fire on I-4 near Howland Boulevard in DeLand Friday night. Florida Highway Patrol troopers said one person was killed in the crash. For unknown reasons, a 1986 Chevrolet was stopped in the westbound center lane of the highway as vehicles approached from behind, according to FHP. The Chevrolet was first struck from behind by a Nissan Sentra driven by 28-year-old Opal Debose. Debose and her passenger were not injured in the collision, troopers said.
