OSHA And The Poor Old Employer

Thursday, February 15th, 2001 Risk Management Workers' Compensation

Every now and then, your resident Iconoclast suggests that his column should contain some sort of warning, sort of like the printed notice on a package of cigarettes. It might read, “The opinions herein are not necessarily those of the editors or publishers, and may increase your blood pressure.” Frankly, I don’t know what opinions the editors have, but I do know that being iconoclastic can be dangerous to one’s health — political health, if not physical well-being. Consider that the Vatican has just recently gotten around to apologizing for burning John Hus at the stake back in the 15th century. The monastic prison where he was held before his trial is now, according the Church History Magazine, a luxury hotel. Heretics, and fellow iconoclasts, take warning!
