Patient Falls From 6th Floor Hospital Window That Law Requires To Be Inescapable

A patient at Maine Medical Center was killed after falling from the sixth-floor window at the hospital Tuesday evening. Police identified the patient as Paul Cady, 43, of Hollis. Police said Cady fell or jumped from a sixth floor window of the Richards Tower at 5:10 p.m. The circumstances around the death are still under investigation, but are not considered suspicious, police said. The state medical examiner’s office and the Department of Health and Human Service’s Division of Licensing and Regulatory Services is involved in the investigation.
