Most PC roundups are photo finishes, but in this case one of the desktop replacement notebook PCs we tested was the clear front-runner. Across the board, the Dell Inspiron 7500 R500VT notched the top scores on all our benchmark tests. In general, the Mobile Pentium III delivers a significant performance boost over Intel‘s previous flagship mobile processor, the 400-MHz Pentium II.
