Report: 2008 hurricane season predicted to be above average

An extended-range forecast for 2008 calls for somewhat above-average Atlantic basin hurricane activity, according to a new report by the Tropical Meteorology Project at Colorado State University. The report marks the 25th year of the CSU hurricane forecasting team, currently led by Phil Klotzbach and William Gray.
