School Bus Gets Slammed Into Home After Running Stop Sign

Wednesday, January 6th, 2016 Auto Liability

Two East Texas women experienced quite a jolt when a Gilmer Independent School District school bus with about 20 children in it slammed into their home. Police were called around 7 a.m, to the 600 block of Pine St. in Gilmer when the school bus and a truck collided at Bledsoe and Pine streets. Gilmer Police say the bus driver disobeyed a stop sign and hit a pickup truck that had the right of way. A few kids suffered bumps and bruises -- eight of them were checked out at the scene by paramedics -- but only the pickup truck driver was taken to a hospital.
