School Bus Slams Into Daycare, But Outcome A ’Miracle’: Witnesses

It had all the makings of a severe tragedy -- an SUV collided with a school bus, which then crashed into a daycare center and erupted into a fireball. Still, witnesses chose just one way to describe what happened. "This should be called ’The Miracle on Rockaway Parkway,’" Chantelle Registre told PIX11 News about the school bus that burst into flame on her mother’s daycare center around 8:20AM. "I heard a boom and I said, ’What the hell is going on?’" Chris Ulysse said. He had spent the night on the top floor of the three-story home at 1922 Rockaway Parkway which his grandmother owns, and which houses Little Andy’s Daycare Center in its basement.
