Sedgwick County storm damage could total $283M

Broken trees and downed power lines could be seen for blocks in the Wichita neighborhood of Oaklawn and throughout the path of the destructive EF-3 tornado that ripped through the landscape late Saturday night. Sunday morning, Kansas governor Sam Brownback declared a state of emergency in Kansas to open the gateway for federal aid to help repair what the tornadoes destroyed.
