Study Says U.S. Terrorism Insurance Falling Short
Tuesday, June 21st, 2005 CatastropheAccording to a RAND Corporation study that was issued on Monday, June 20, 2005, the terrorism insurance system in the United States is failing to provide businesses with adequate financial protection in regards to a terrorist attack, and is leaving the nation vulnerable to economic disruption in the event of such a tragedy. The study points out that most terrorism insurance policies do not cover losses caused by attacks from domestic terrorist groups, and that now most policies exclude coverage for attacks involving chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons.
