Ten Injured When Driver Falls Asleep
Monday, November 3rd, 2014 Auto LiabilityTwo women and eight children from Chicago were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 7:32 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, in rural Monroe County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred when the driver fell asleep.
Officers said Brittany K. Griggs, 26, was driving a 2002 Buick Rendezvous on U.S. 24 just west of Monroe County Road 1137. When she fell asleep, the vehicle crossed the left side of the road, hit an embankment and overturned. All the occupants were using safety devices.
