Wednesday, August 19th, 2015 Liability Property

Two people were taken to the hospital on Tuesday after an awning ceiling collapsed at Catalina hotel. According to Golder Ranch Fire District Battalion Chief Josh Hurguy, crews were called to the Catalina Inn, 15691 N. Oracle Road, on a bee call. When they arrived at the scene, they found that the underside of the hotel’s awning over the driveway had fallen onto a car.
Two people were in the car at the time of the collapse, but were out and walking around when crews arrived. They were taken to a local hospital for evaluation, but did not have serious injuries, according to Hurguy.
