Vehicle crashes into house, severs gas line on Edgemont Drive in north Huntsville

Police this morning temporarily closed a portion of Edgemont Drive in north Huntsville and evacuated two homes after a vehicle crashed into a house and severed its natural gas line. Just before 6 a.m. a 2007 Chevrolet Blazer traveling north on Edgemont Drive lost control and crashed into a house in the 400 block, severing the gas line to the house, police on the scene said.
