A Sunrise police officer is unhurt but the 24-year-old man accused of rear-ending the officer’s patrol car is in a pile of trouble, according to the arrest report. Officer Cory Gindlesperger was providing backup for a traffic stop in the center lane of 11500 W. Oakland Park Blvd. just before 2 a.m. Sunday. The emergency lights were flashing on his marked police vehicle, the report stated. Gindlesperger was out of his vehicle when Nathaniel Martin, of Sunrise, plowed his silver Kia into the back of it, sending the patrol car about 50 feet down the road, police said.
