AICPCU/IIA Offers Internet-Based Courses/Exams
Monday, May 15th, 2000 Education & Training TechnologyLicensed insurance practitioners in Pennsylvania can now earn continuing education (CE) credits by taking courses and examinations on the Internet developed by the American Institute for CPCU/Insurance Institute of America. The Institutes offer 17 courses and exams (with six more courses in development) in their Focus Series program, all of which are filed for CE credit in as many as 18 states. "Now insurance professionals who must meet state CE requirements to retain their licenses can do so using the convenience and efficiency of the Internet," said Cheryl L. Ferguson, CPCU, AAI, director of the Focus Series program. The advantage the Focus Series courses have over other CE offerings, according to Ferguson, is that they come from the Institutes‘ well-established curriculum.
