The 2023 Global Innovation Awards have honored AIA, PAK Insurance Programs, and Swiss Re for their exceptional contributions to the insurance industry.

AIA, Asia’s largest insurer, was named the Life/Health/Retirement Innovator of the Year. Their Technology, Digital, and Analytics (TDA) program, launched in 2020, enabled them to transition into a digitally-driven, customer-centric insurer. AIA’s innovative approach addresses changing societal needs and consumer behaviors, resulting in improved customer experiences and personalized insurance solutions.

PAK Insurance Programs received the Property & Casualty Innovator of the Year award. Responding to the increased risk of catastrophic wildfires in the winery industry, PAK Programs introduced the 2021 interactive coverage maps and the Insurance Risk Assessment Drone (iRAD) technology. These tools, combined with 360-degree cameras and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), provide a robust defense against wildfire risks for insureds.

Swiss Re was recognized as the Predict & Prevent Innovator of the Year. Their Risk Data & Services (RDS) platform, developed by Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, is a pioneering initiative in risk management. The RDS platform centralizes diverse data sources, offering comprehensive risk assessments and enabling businesses to simulate disruptions. This innovation enhances resilience and predictive capabilities across supply chain networks.
