A hacker group named NullBulge has allegedly leaked a vast amount of Disney’s internal Slack data, claiming to have obtained over 1.1 terabytes of messages and files. This breach reportedly includes every message and file from nearly 10,000 channels, encompassing unreleased projects, code, images, login credentials, and links to internal sites and APIs. The hackers claim the data was obtained through an insider at Disney, though the validity of this claim is unconfirmed.

NullBulge states their actions are a protest against AI-generated art and other issues they view as detrimental to artists’ rights. The leaked data first appeared on BreachForums before being taken down, but it remains accessible on mirror sites. Disney has yet to confirm the breach but has stated that an investigation is underway. Security experts note that such breaches are becoming increasingly common, particularly through cloud and software-as-a-service platforms.

NullBulge’s stated mission is to protect artists’ rights and ensure fair compensation for their work. The group has previously targeted other entities and individuals, citing specific grievances. In this case, the alleged Disney insider’s personal information was also exposed, although the insider’s involvement remains uncertain.
